I am Robert Schmidt, a computer science student who is passionate about quantum computing, machine learning, and software development. I enjoy crocheting, board games, reading books, and learning about anything and everything. I love reading books on math, physics, quantum mechanics, fiction, and sometimes all four at once! I have earned various certifications in IT Support, Programming, Containerization, and the Cloud.
I am professionally certified in Python and entry-level certified in C++. I have experience in HTML & CSS (I made this website), as well as Javascript.
I am A+ and Network+ certified, allowing me to perform rudimentary IT support and corporate network management.
I am studying quantum computing, experimenting with publically available quantum computers hosted by IBM using a tool called Qiskit.
I am AWS Solutions Architect certified, and have experience setting up cloud-based APIs, computing instances, and hosting websites using AWS.
I have done karate since 2021, getting various trophies from intramural tournaments.
I tend to annoy people sitting next to me by fidgeting, so my solution is to keep fidgeting, but productively!
One of my favorite things to do is to sit down outside with a cup of tea reading a good book. It's always stressful though, because I don't want to spill tea on my textbooks!
